Sweet Spring Peas: In Latin, Pisum Satvium. The Greeks and Romans have been cultivating sweet green peas, probably proceeding from Asia before Christ.
They are tiny circular green buds guarded in a Pod. They impart a delicate sweetness, are simple to prepare and are combined in: pasta primavera, vegetable soups, alone steamed or wth butter sauce and creamed soups.
