Okay, those who read my previous thread know that I was just promoted to Chef/Kitchen Manager at the Indian Casino I work at.
A little more background regarding my history in the area.
We have three Indian Casinos in the area, within an hours drive of each other.
I worked for another one when they owned a local hotel.
No gaming on the property, just tribal owned.
I was the Executive Chef there for a couple of years.
Also, I recently interviewed for the F&B Manager positon at the 3rd casino, but didn't get the job.
But I did get the promotion where I'm at, so I'm happy enough.
Today I get a call from HR of the first Casino I worked for.
It seems they just lost their F&B Manager at the actual casino (I'm not sure why yet), and I am going in tomorrow morning for an interview.
This casino has the nicest fine dining restaurant in the area, and this is a much sought after job.
I am sure some may wonder why I would interview for a new position when I just got promoted where I currently work, but I always look into opportunities that will further my career and/or be a good move for my family.
Without speaking to them, I am thinking that they will not be able to offer me a sweet enough deal to give up what I already have, but you never know.

I'll let you all know how this pans out.

Well, I promised I'd let you all know.
I didn't get the position.
I'm going to contact them tomorrow and let them know no hard feeling, and keep me in mind for future consideration for F&B or Exec. Chef.
