Hey all-

I'm Evangelo from Japan. I originally hail from Greater Boston and grew up in a small town. There, I learned all about growing fresh ingredients form a garden, how to pick good fruits and vegetables, and how to cook basic meals. Since then, I moved to Japan to study Japanese and Media production, and have been cooking for myself ever since.

I just found this forum today and am really excited to start learning about preparing food, cooking, and the like. I really want to focus on improving the range of things I can cook, well as increasing my skills in cooking.

Most of all, I hope I can offer some insight into Japanese cooking, and cooking abroad as I am a English-speaking foreigner in Japan.

Ganbatte!

Aloha Man,
I wish I was in Japan right now. I would like to some day check out Tokyo. A lot of my friends are from Japan and when they talk about home and how it’s so beautiful. Man how I wish could see it first hand. From Boston to Japan, talk about culture shock, How was the adjustment? Do you speak Japanese?

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Living in Japan was a bit of a culture shock in my first couple weeks here, but I now feel Japan is my home. I have lots of friends here, have been really enjoying the culture, and can enjoy everything here more and more.

I am in the midst of studying Japanese and have a good grasp of the language. I can have conversation, explain things, and date Japanese girls, so language is not that much of a problem. I am not fluent yet, but that is just a matter of time! :D

Dozou yoroshiku!
