How to add Hard candy coating

sorry if this is the wrong forum, see i got a problem, i have a weak throat, and sometimes its hard to swallow, well the pills i was given are big and not coated

i can have them redone but it will cost alot as insurance gave me the finger
so i thought what about adding a coating myself, is there a , like liquid bottle u can pour on something and it will give it a hard candy like shell?

I'm not aware of a coating being readily available to the public, but you may need to consider crushing the pill and mixing it with applesauce or pudding.

The hard candy coating is done by a process called "panning" in which the items are put into a rotating drum and a sugar syrup is added, all the while rotating. Ther are a few very skilled sugar workers who can do this with large open frying pans as well.

Crushing the pill, or cutting it in half seems like a pretty good option....
