If you've got a recipe you feel you can use, and just want it more yellow, add more turmeric.

You'll probarbly get best help there. Or you could google Reza mohammed. He's the gayest campest , yet most simplistic Indian chef you ever saw and he's truly lovely. You wont get yellow??? you'll get green. Cos the red colour is Colouring.
Anyhoo. As a beside, have you heard about the Tikka masala debate re. who it belongs to? Indians say its not one of theirs. Reza went to Mumbai and asked about. no-one had ever heard of it.
Apparently, Ali Aslam , who has run an Indian restaurant in Glasgow since the 70's has claimed the Tikka masala is a Scottish invention, and is asking parliament just this week to decree it so!!
Whoop-di-doo! now we Scots'll have another delicacy to vie with the bloody haggis for supremecy

I think you'll find that Chicken Tikka is Indian, which is a very dry dish, but Chicken Tikka Masala is a UK creation, much wetter.
Legend has it that an Indian cook made an English customer Chicken Tikka, customer complained it needed gravy, so cook took it back to kitchen, bunged a tin of tomato soup on it for "gravy", served it up, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was born.
Are you sure you're not thinking of Butter Chicken? This tends to be yellow, whereas Chicken Tikka Masala is usually red or sometimes green.

It's butter chicken. Chicken Tikka Masala is never mainly yellow - it's either red or green. Millions of recipes out there, unfortunately!
