How to land a Stage?

Hello everyone. This very well be a tough question to answer so I'll just apologize now:smiles:. I've been in the industry now for approx 5 years. Started out washing dishes, moved on to prep, garde, saute, broiler, calling the line, menu planning etc. But still could not for the life of me land that WOW job. I have worked in a couple of restaurants that I'm proud of, but I feel that I havn't been in the right ones/positions that will take my career to the next level.

So I guess my question is, after my rambling.... How does one go about landing a Stage at a really great restaurant? I've tried sending off resumes but never get any replies. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I never thought about approaching it so directly like that. It makes total sense. I'll hold on to that. Thank you

As a business owner, I'd be impressed with someone who put there money where their mouth is. Demonstrating how you'd be indespensible is the best way to get a job.
