Danny, I agree completely. The fruit is slightly acidic, so salty goes well with it IMHO (ham, etc.). We have a Chinese restaurant in the area that puts strawberries (also mango and other tropical fruits) in savory/salty dishes, especially with chicken, duck and seafood. People love the dishes.
