I just wanted you all to know that purplemarlin and I, and our wives were fortunate enough to dine at Alain Ducasse in New York City last week. In only its second week we all had the best meals of our lives. Everything from the summer vegetable napolean, to the foie gras poached in a peppered bouillen, to the seaweed steamed halibut, to the $80.00 steak entree. Everything was awesome -- and so was the bill -- $1300.00 for the four of us. We are not rich - but this was worth it.
