When we visited Lanzarote - one of the Canary Islands we went to a restaurant on top of their 'live' volcano and it is still very very hot! The 'El Diablo' restaurant serves Canarian food which is cooked using geothermal heat (A cast-iron grill placed over a large hole in the ground using the heat from the volcano) They cook their potatoes in sea water and the food was fantastic!!
