aprox 15 years ago I treated a friend to a pedicure then met her at the salon with Champagne, sassion, cheese and crackers.
It was a different world back then, when I was a lady that "lunched" and played weekly mah jong. She had never had anyone treat her special....her husband was pretty jerky.
food gifts, jams....I'll not sell my jam....it is a labor of love and priceless, so it's given as such.
last party I recieved 10# of Mich dried cherries as a tip.....wonderful.....way better than money.
oh, let's see.....I gave a friend that turned 50, who is president of a non-profit food for her "benefit" party at greatly reduced price then instead of having them pick it up, did the whole table with my supplies/equipment. I believe in the cause and value her friendship.....she has sent good business my way. I've really gotten away from doing anything like this, but...... |
