On Oct 9, just before time to go home from work, my hearing aid broke. Can't be fixed so have to find the receipt from last time and hope the 1 year warranty is still good. This will be the 5-6th time it has broken since I bought it new in 2001. Each time it costs me for a 1year warranty, and it usuallly goes bad just weeks after the warranty expires.

But WAIT! That's not all, I got home to find a Jury Summons!

But WAIT! There's still more, I found that the kitty had "broken" into my room that I'm remodeling, and started scratching at the paper liner of all the insulation I put in the outside wall. 4-5 places or more, seems he likes the fluffy stuff underneath and rips it out.

BUT WAIT! There's still more, today is my 38th wedding anniversary, and I woke up in a bad mood, because it got pretty cold last night, and the electrician never showed up last weekend to re-wire my other remodeling project, our bedroom! Can't believe the luck. He says it will be at least 2 weeks before he can come.

But WAIT! There's more. There's going to be a big layoff at my company that goes into effect Nov.5. No one knows until the day it happens who's going and who's not.

But, I've been married 38 years to a wonderful "light of my life" type woman, who still gets "carded" to prove she's over 21!

And I'm still alive after all these years. Guess life can seem like mixed blessings, but we get caught up in the little details.

Since we're trying to scrimp and save money just in case, Culver's is celebrating and we got a coupon for 5 butter burgers for $5. Guess that will be our anniversary dinner tonight!
