I once heard B B King compare the Blues to a Po'Boy. You gotta hoe your long row then you can have your Po'boy.
A good friend just gave me the cd of Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings' "100 Days, 100 Nights" Man, it smokes!
IMHO, Amy Winehouse is a complete rip-off of Ms. Jones-even took her band to do her recordings.
Have also been listening to some other blue-eyed R&B by James Hunter. I also recently went to see Taj Mahal at "The Egg". That man's still got it all. |
