I tried grilling romaine lettuce tonight. I cut it in half lengthwise, seasoned with salt pepper and olive oil, and grilled it face down first and then turned it over. Made a caesar dressing for it. It was delicious but a bit too wilted for me. Next time I sear it only on one side on a higher heat and for a little less time, and will put a sturdier creamy dressing on it. Can't complain though, hubby loved it too. Served it with grilled salmon (Tuesday is fish or seafood night). |
