Sounds good Chef, put me down for a copy! Most of my run-ins were music related, some food and some misc. I'll start with the misc.
Went to my best friends wedding and his wifes good friend was Harvey Firestein (kind of a snob, or maybe it was just me!) Bill Cosby, Vince Promuto of the Washington Redskins back in the 60's, also the famous Otto Grahams son Jim also of the 60's Redskins, Brian Holloway of the N.E.Patriots went to school with him, also Bill Wadhams of Animotion, went to the same school, was friends with my sister. Lived with Willie Schlesinger, son of James Schlesinger Secretary of Defense under Nixon (that was a lot of fun!)My ex Fiances father was Kennedys asst. press secretary. He was the one holding the mike while Johnson was being sworn in on Air Force One after the shooting. (He was a very cool man!)Pro wrestlers Junk Yard Dog, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Greg the hammer Valentine. Did a radio show many moons ago with Howard Stern, threw up when I was a little kid on Bozo the Clown (aka Willard Scott!)
Musically: I met and got my guitar signed by Johhny & Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Steve Morse, Lonnie Mack and his bandmates, John McLaughlin and Sevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughn. Clapton wouldn't sign it but I did get some of his guitar picks out of it.
And food wise I had a chance to cook for Reagan, Bush (Sr.) and Clinton (which brings to mind an idea for a topic) I cooked and served George Carlin backstage in Anchorage, Alaska. I grew up as a neighbor with Henry Haller the former White House Chef. Served Joseph Hazelwood the Captain of the Exxon Valdez when he was on trial for the spill. We tried to get the waitress to tell him that the special of the day was Salmon in Oil, but she wouldn't do it!
What can I tell you, I'm a groupie at heart!
