foodnfoto -- I bought the donut pan at Marshall's (the discount 'everything' store). I always check the kitchenwares section when I'm shopping there. You can pick up some amazing bargains in that department, but it's very hit-or-miss. I think the manufacturer is Mirro.

Suzanne -- Those donuts your Mom made sound a lot like funnel cakes. I saw a funnel cake making gizmo in CVS this morning. I was tempted to buy it, but I haven't done any deep fat frying since the day my Fry Daddy caused an electrical fire that could have burned our house down.

I think my next batch of homemade donuts will be apple with a maple syrup glaze.
