Sure wish I would have won as I will never be able to afford anything like those beautiful knives. Maybe next year. Congratulations to the winners. Thanks for having the contest.

Wow, what good news. I've been working with my trusty old 8" Chicago Cutlery chef's knife for several decades, from back in the time when they made good stuff. It will be fun to try out this new toy, I can hardly wait.

Many thanks to New West Knifeworks for their support and generousity!

Default What a beautiful knife!

I am so happy to have actually won something - and when the winning is a breathtaking knife that I could never have afforded for myself. Well, over the moon is a pale description!

I found cheftalk while at my very first restaurant job out of pastry school, and learned so much that saved my..........ganache many times over.

Many thanks to New West Knife Works for their generosity, and for crafting such lovely, intelligent designs. I'll post a picture when it arrives!

Made some onion soup which involved slicing several onions. Wish I had me new knife for this task, shucks. Hopefully it will show up soon.

Cool Mine came Wednesday too!

Hand written label - nice touch! The leather sheath is nice, and the chopper just fits my small hands (they laughed when I took piano lessons!). Frst thing out of the sheath, I did a fine chiffonade and wow. I don't think my skills improved dramatically - lovely knife with a very good feel. Sigh. Thank you again to New West Knife Works and ChefTalk.

Sweet! My New West 9 just showed up at my door. Looks really nice. Now I'll be spending the rest of the day figuring out what to make for dinner - something that involves a lot of slicing and such...
