Default Site Performance (please read)

Some of you may be aware that we recently moved ChefTalk to a new server and there have been a few bumps but otherwise everything seems to be working just fine.

Please let us know if you noticed any performance issues or problems. Is the site running faster (hopefully) or slower for you.

Thanks.

I'm in the habit of usually getting my ChefTalk fix between the hours of midnight and 2 am Mountain Time. I don't know where on the planet the CF servers are actually located, but I always assumed the timeouts, database errors and such were the result of me trying to access them while various daily server maintainence jobs were taking place.

So far, no such issues. Sweet. One thing I have noticed, however, is that I am no longer getting email notification of replies to 'subscribed' threads. Is this intentional, or just a minor detail yet to be worked out? I can live with it either way, it isn't really important to me.

Nicko-
New server is fine and fast.

However, I've noticed that the Forum Jump link doesn't appear after I've posted a reply and been returned to the thread. I like to use the Jump to return to the main forum without getting tangled up in the cancelled reply screens.

Thanks

Mike

what happened to the drop down list under Quick Links? that "Today's Post" is a valuable feature. when you log in, all posts are marked "not new no more" - if you don't have time to got thru everything, later log in does not show stuff you "missed" and it's a huge fishing expedition sectionbysection to find what you didn't see/read... the "Today's Posts" option was really cool - a reverse chronology you could follow from-to as needed . . .

At work, circa 6:15am - 7am CDT, I have a lot of days I cannot access the forums. I will be forwarded (by an error page) to some sort of "Announcement Page". From there I have been unable to get to the forums.

Usually, later in the day, I can again access them.
