Thumbs up Help Kids Make Gingerbread Houses!

ChefTalk would like to encourage every community member to take a few minutes and read an article about our very own Jim's students at Delcastle Technical HighSchool.

Every year these kids help teach younger kids how to build gingerbread houses and it is a great community service. For the past several years the students have been fortunate enough to get grants to continue the project but now the grants are no longer available. Please read the article about the gingerbread house making project and if you feel inclined then consider following the link near the end of the article to make a donation to keep the program going.

Thumbs up

Thank you for the support! We kick-off the Great Gingerbread House Construction Tour on Monday, 12/8. If all goes as planned, when we are finished, we will have worked with over 600 kids to make gingerbread houses, decorate chocolate covered snowmen, read stories, give away toothbrushes and create great family time. Nickelodeon has picked-up on our journey and ran a story on Nick News. For the first time since this thing got started, my students are running the events in their entirety... from publicity, to organizing each activity to packing up all the supplies. When we are all done, we are partnering with MADD to make cookies for every police officer's family in the state. Never a dull moment! I will post pictures when we are all done.
Again, thanks for all the suport!
