Default What is being done about ChefTalk

This past week was pretty much a disaster and the worst week of outages ever.

Here is what has been done and what the plan is.

  • Moved community database off current host to a dedicated server
  • Worked extensively with current hosting company and new hosting company to resolve issues
  • Purchased new CMS (Content management system)

The Plan
  • Migrate site to complete dedicated server with lots of RAM
  • Move to one technology (cheftalk currently uses several)
  • Install new CMS
  • Migrate site database (articles, books etc) to new database

I am working on this everyone as much as I am able while still dealing with a full time job commitment. Hopefully I will have much of this complete prior to the Q&A forum with Bruce Aidells.
