So I regularly read food and wine, gourmet, wine spectator.....I don't know poop about wine other than I like to drink it.

I read these articles about "top 10 bottles under 20$" etc. etc.

I take these cool lists to the 2 local stores..now...I live in central NJ....while suburban, it's quite populated and the wine stores, while I don't expect them to be awesome, stock lots of wine......however, I can NEVER find the bottles they review in the magazines......practically ever.

And the prices....my god...they are usually double if I DO find them (I haven't found 1 yet, but looking online...)

what gives? anyone else experience this?

I'm going to do an experiment this month..I'm going to make a list of every wine reviewed in this months food and wine, and take it to 5 stores, and see what the results are.
