Default What are you drinking tonight?

I just want to start a thread to see what everyone else is drinking.
Didn't really know where to start the thread; thought this might be the right place.
This may just end up being a diary of my alcohol habit,
but I hope others will air their dirty laundry as well (don't be shy, it's not illegal yet).

Well, to the point:

Last night was a bottle of Pomme Lambic followed with Dashe 2006 Zinfandel,
and then (just to guarantee a headache) most of a bottle of Windmill 2006 Zinfandel.

Tonight I'm sticking with beer. A few Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA's,
and then a 22 of Pyramid's Imperial Hefeweizen (yes, I add lemon. get over it).
After that, if I don't hit the feeding frenzy state, I'll finish with ol' faithful.
Yourself?

And posting reply to your own thread = fail,
but I thought that prices would be nice to include.

Lambic $10 (i think)
Dashe $25
Windmill $10 (discount wine store, probably $12-13 elsewhere)

Dogfish Head 90 minute $2.79 each (i think)
Pyramid Imperial Hefeweizen $5
Lemon $cheap
Bridgeport IPA $8 six pack

And review wise, the Dashe is very approachable. I'm not a big fan of Pyramid, but the Imperial Hefe is very nice;
I'm a repeat offender on that one.
The Windmill had been my 'second bottle' for a long time. Everything else should be obvious if you've tried it.

Innis & Gunn - limited edition, extra age (2006) in the blue box.
No, I don't drink special stuff like this every night, that's why I thought i'd share.
Paired it with homemade merguez and homegrown lettuces, lightly pickled vidalias homemade bread and overpriced heirloomed tomatoes. Oh yeah. Back to KD tomorrow....

am off work till next week, fly to Seattle Wednesday, set to sail on the 24th.
So just had a big bowl of steamer clams washed down with Sterling Vinyards Sav Blanc, may finish this bad boy off.
Must enjoy my wine now, once on board it's zero tolerence for 3-4 months.
Enjoy,
Nan

Paloma. I'll have to give it a try sometime. Not much of a tequila drinker. Makes me crazy.

Tea is completely acceptable. I wish I was more well versed in it's 'varietals'. I usually just stick with Earl Grey (with a bunch of bourbon and lemon )

Looked that Innus & Gunn up online. Want to try it. Looks interesting. I get a real good price on heirlooms in the late summer coming out of Yakima valley. Can't wait!

The problem with the dry boats is that all there is to drink is cooking booze, and speaking from experience, cheap blueberry brandy and coke is not a good drink. Who are you working for? Maybe I've cooked on one of their boats.

Anyhow, back on topic:
24oz of Beck's (it was a hot one today) $cheap enough
Deschuttes Black Butte XX (20th anniversary) $10 (good, but won't buy again)
Bridgeport IPA after that if I want. $affordable

Bell's Two Hearted Ale. BIG IPA. 7.5% and tasty as can be. I think it's the best beer I've ever had.

Sometimes I stop at the brewery by my house and have their Sacred Cow IPA or the Old 22 Altbeir. The altbeir is a light bodies pitchblack ale that works well in the summer when you want a lot of taste but significant crispness in mouthfeel.

Lately though... Mojito and cigar. I like the relaxation of this so much that I told my girl just the other day that we should vacation in Cuba in a few years.

I will be starting a new bottle of Italian White Lambrusco tonight for dinner. It only cost less than $7/bottle but I love Lambrusco, the white one or the pink one. I don't like the red ones here in the US.

Tonight I'm finishing off a bottle of Big House red table wine, a basic, no frills wine out of the Santa Cruz area. We started it last night with our smoked beef sandwiches and green salad.

It was a hot day again here in Salt Lake, meant to stop and get some more gin for a tall, frosty gin and tonic, oh well.
