Still Looking..

Posted 03-21-2008 at 12:13 PM by scifimom
I haven't abandoned my story! The landlord who has the restaurant space may have a buyer for the property. He knew that when he showed it to me, but neglected to mention it (grrrr..). He isn't returning my agent's phone calls but I catch him at his restaurant supply store. The latest is that he should know more by next Wednesday. In anticipation of yet another disappointment I'm looking around once again. Stay tuned - this can only get better, I hope.

The Oasis of my Soul

Dead Horse State Park, UT
Moab is growing on us as every day, with the help of “chit chatting” with the locals, we are discovering some doable trails for us. We can ride better than a 2 wheel drive but not as daring as a 4 wheel drive! The best views are off the black top except for a ride to “Dead Horse State Park”, a natural wonder which only took 300 million years to achieve, and still under construction!

It's been a bit since my last post.

Well I had a sojurn in Costa Rica and boy it's nice to be back.
Landed a job yesterday at a local private golf course kitchen.
I am being realistic and I am starting as a prep cook and will go from there.
After that I hope to have enough kitchen experience to work at a local steak house which has held a high reputation in my area for a number of years.
My neighbour who is now a sous chef for one of the city's finest restaraunts...

The Oasis of my Soul

As Life in Moab goes on…
So today I wrote a controversial Blog! So I have been told, all in a positive well mannered as always fashion. I generally do not dwell on situations, the words are there, they had to come out at the risk of offending some maybe which is not my style, but, it is in black and white, it is reality, nothing else. Truly nothing offending! Will there be a Lifestyle change or not… all I

Brunch-ish

Posted 03-17-2008 at 07:37 AM by RPMcMurphy
Girlfriend and I whipped up a quick breakfast this weekend that, while it wasn't really all that special, was excellent!! Took about 15 minutes too.

Some ham and cheese mini-fritattas on a biscuit (pilsbury!). Some super special Heinze'de'tobasco sauce. with some left over "whatever was going bad" fruit. Baked them in a square tart pan, not sure why, next time I'll use a muffin tin.

really came out good for a quick 15 minute whip-up.
