Posted 05-18-2009 at 08:06 AM by Nicko (ChefTalk Blog)

ENTREE.
The word, “Entrée” is confusing on a menu for Americans because the French mean “appetizer” when...

A Perfect Last Day - Brasserie Lipp, Poilane Bread, Brasserie Bofinger

Posted 05-14-2009 at 07:48 PM by Nicko (ChefTalk Blog)

You could not ask for a more perfect last day really. The temperature was 70 degrees with blue skies and sunshine all around. It was a wonderful way to end a fantastic trip.

It was my wife's first time in Paris and I always regretted that we never actually went inside the museum. After all how can you come to Paris and not gaze upon the famous Mona Lisa? It could just be me but I find nothing civilized about going to the Louvre. What I mean is it isn't really a peaceful...

Dinner at Guy Savoy's Les Bouquinistes

Posted 05-12-2009 at 09:15 PM by Nicko (ChefTalk Blog)

Of all the restaurants I really had a desire to visit Guy Savoy's was the one. Unfortunately going to the flagship restaurant of Guy Savoy was to cost prohibitive for us to go. If you stop by the Guy Savoy website (which is very nice by the way http://www.guysavoy.com/en/) you will see two menus. The "prestige menu" and the "Colors, Textures and Savours" menu. The "prestige menu " cost...
