Circus circus

It's been a bit since my last post.

Well I had a sojurn in Costa Rica and boy it's nice to be back.
Landed a job yesterday at a local private golf course kitchen.
I am being realistic and I am starting as a prep cook and will go from there.
After that I hope to have enough kitchen experience to work at a local steak house which has held a high reputation in my area for a number of years.
My neighbour who is now a sous chef for one of the city's finest...

Beaurocracy....What would life be with out it?

Well, I finally have time to post another entry. I am slightly frustrated with the government as I tried to file a claim on friday for employment insurance.
5 years ago I was laid of for the season from the garden center I worked at and back then you could apply for E.I. as soon as you found out you were being laid off. E.I. takes 4 weeks to get your first cheque but now you not only have to wait for your record of employment, but you also have to do it online. You know I would not...

It is funny how life will go against even the most well thought out plans one has.

I learned that lesson a long time ago and as such I made that rule work for me instead of against. I was planning for the first time to take the slower, more thought out road when I decided a month ago to become a chef.
