Yes it is january and i am a little late on talking about thanksgiving, but national financial stress month (december) has led me to actually sit down and watch movies and tv.....alot......and with boredom comes ranting.

So what alot of people now take for granted is our planet earth. People dont realize how MUCH the earth does for us then what they think. It gives us wood to build our houses, land for recreation......and food, which is what i am primarily stressing......then i started to think about thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is primarily celebrated in the USA and Canada and in the USA we give thanks to whatever our possessions are whether it me spiritual in nature or physical but how many people even acknowledge earth. People mention God alot, but the harvest isnt growing on God, and thats what thanksgiving is all about, celebrating the harvest that grows on earth and feeds us.

I allready have my plans for thanksgiving 2009. Im going to harvest whatever i can in my little patio and if its just tomatos and sunflowers then so be it. Its what happend in the early days before mass productuon.

I just want to show my loved ones what I actually grew and got without going to a supermarket and celebrate that what we get is from what is grown, and hopefully this will show an alternative way to you readers;)

1)Chicken w/ any citrus- I absolutely think this is way overdone Everywhere i go some citrus is tagging along with chicken. Theres more to do to a chicken then stuffing the cavity with lemon, lime, and oranges!

2)The Term "Surf & Turf"- Its not a cute thing to say anymore, i hated when we had to come up with a special and "surf and turf" would be a topic....and whoever came up with the idea doesnt know what Surf to use and what Turf to use......better to say sirloin with lobster tail or something

3)Hatred of Fast Food- Now im in this business to make real good and one day i do want to have a fine dining establishment, and not have a burger joint. but dont hate on the fast food companies....sure there corporate....sure they make people fat......and yes who knows where big mac meat came from....but you cannot deny there history in america. You can rant and rave about how you work in a steak house but to me a steak is a steak, but a burger has more personality.

4)Mangos- Its not "exotic" anymore, i dont want to dip my coconut shrimp in you....F*** Off

5)Club Sandwiches- Anybody that had worked in a place that served your standard club knows how much it sucks to have a bunch of these on your ticket line. Pure Evil

6)Ex-Sous Chefs- They get hired to be cooks at my job and they always end up whining about something or they burn food alot.......makes me wonder if they even had a sous job.

7)Turkey- im stealing a line from mitch hedgeberg "man turkey just be yourself".

8)Texas- A State......that has to be attached to anything bbq.

9)Onions- Love eating them HATE chopping them

10)Buffets- Gross...........just gross....the word buffet is more apalling to hear than "granny is moist"

THE END
