Fishing and cooking in Canada
Posted 07-07-2008 at 06:28 PM by Nicko
I am back after a week of fishing and cooking in Nestor Falls Ontario Canada on Kakagi (crow) lake. This trip is a yearly adventure with my Dad, brother, uncles, and cousins. Probably my best year of fishing since we first started going up their in the late 80s which made it even better. For those anglers interested we fish for mostly small mouth bass, some large mouth and an occasional northern.
Because the dollar has weakened it was a bit of a shock how expensive it was in Canada this time around. This prompted us to cook in the cabins more which was fun but also exhausting after fishing all day every day.
One of the best meals we cook is a shore lunch where we cook the catch of the day literally hours/minutes after it has been caught. See the photo below.
So here are a few shots from my trip and some of what we cooked.
