Upgrade madness

Well this past weekend ChefTalk completed a large upgrade of the forums, photo gallery, and blogging engine. Bugs have been minor and everyone seems to be enjoying the new features (comments please). There are some great new features such as Social Groups, much more feature rich profile page (think my space (lite version)).

The forums are doing very well and the photo gallery has really taken off but it would be nice to see the blogs take off. To tell you the truth I am surprised that more people have not started their own blog it is such a fantastic way to share your story. For example if your a culinary student how did you choose your school and what is the experience like? Stuff like this is so helpful to people thinking about career changing.

Same goes for someone becoming a chef or opening their own restaurant. Sharing the eperience gives others glimpse of things they may have not considered.

Hopefully more people at ChefTalk will get on the band wagon but for now we only have 3-4 really well thought out blogs. My favorites are the following:

• Stewey's blog - Culinary student blog with photos and great content
• The Oasis of My Soul - posts from a chef on the road.
• ScifiMom - A great blog about the process of opening up a commercial kitchen rental property.

So come on everyone get blogging.
