| The window sill I have previously grown herbs in only gets 3 to 4 hours of direct sunlight per day. Does anyone know which herbs, if any, would prosper under those conditions? |

| I'm not really sure. That sounds like a pretty small amount. I know that, outside, my flat-leaf parsley and mints prefer morning sun and afternoon shade, so you might try them. But basil, thyme, chives, and rosemary seem to prefer lots of direct sun.

| Chervil would be a good choice. Mints are fairly tolerant of some shade as is parsley. You might also have some fun with gourmet greens like lettuces and arugula. I often grow these in the garage during winter when the light is low and sparce. It's a real treat!

| Ya know, they say that rosemary and thyme need lots of sun, but every winter I put my rosemary & thyme pots on my kitchen window sill, which does not get a great deal of sun and they do OK. Mark

| Herbs in general require a lot of sun, full sun, 6 - 8 hours a day. So get them a grow light. As simple as a lightbulb and very inexpensive to keep the warm and happy. |
