| We have lots of green romas and cherry tomatoes right now. I've eaten and shared about 10 zucchinis already but a storm took out half the plant so we'll see if that slows production. We have picked 8 pickling cucumbers and 3-4 burpless. The burpless just aren't as prolific as the picklers. Monday, we got about a dozen jalapenos and one green bell pepper off our pepper plants. The eggplants are blooming as are the other pepper plants. My cilantro bolted, the dill is dying a slow death, parsley, oregano, sweet basil, cinnamon basil, and chives look great! We've also eaten quite a few of the onions we planted. |

| My sis in Pennsylvania has some zucchinis big enough to be deadly weapons. Happens when you don't watch 'em carefully.

| jigz - got down to -8 deg C recently, a very hard frost - cars are covered in ice every morning, dog's water is frozen over, yeah it gets chilly. But mind you, we're pretty far south in Tassie. Makes it good for apples and parsnips though! KY - hehe yeah its one of my stock standard jokes, just wanted to share it ![]() Great to hear from everyone - sounds like things are booming and growing up there on the far side. Thanks for dusting off the dirt and sharing ![]()

| Well, among the weeds that I can't seem to make myself get rid of, I have tons of tomatoes everyday (I picked about 15 yesterday and gave them all away because I still had 5 on my counter and my husband doesn't eat them. My in-laws took 10 and already had like 7 or 8 from the Amish store and a few from my great aunt. I've canned a jar of banana pepper rings and have more I need to do something with. My green beans have already produced their three cycles and look pretty icky right now. I've also had a few cucumbers and my watermelons are growing! I let my spinach and mint go and my blackberries are doing well! But, I can't think about my garden without thinking about all the weeds...ugh! |
