Default Local Famers Markets

Well I live in Northern NJ and basically its Saturday afternoon at 1:30. Im sitting here watching tv with the sun shining outside and Im thinking to myself, god what I would do to have a local famers market to walk around check things out taste local ingredients coming straight from the seeds and scraps and to support local farmers and families.

So my question is:

Does anyone know of any great farmers markets within an hour distance of Northern NJ? I mean nothern and if any of you know nothern nj I am literally RIGHT on High Point mountain (highest point in NJ).

Much Appreciated.

Quinn, if you google "farmers markets" one of the hits will be the USDA index that purports to list every registered farmers market in the country. That would be a good starting point.

While searching, look for the Garden State Heirloom Seed Society. I'm not sure if they're still operating or not, but if they are they can steer you to farmers markets in New Jersey.

Good luck with your search.
