Default Improving garden soil

What a surprise.

I thought there would be more threads in the gardening and herb forum.

Here is a contribution...

In my site - last of links in my signature - if you go to the menu for root feeding, that page will have a lot of information on the care and quality of soil. It is applicable for regular vegetable gardening.

When we bought this house here, the soil was compact clay. By ammending; in 3 years, the improved clay is so loose, I can shove a blunt 1.5" bamboo pole down 14" into the ground with my hands. And that's into soil that sat all winter, not rototilled.
