Question Gourds/Squash

A friend of my dad was given some mystery seeds by one of the people that buys eggs from him. No one's been able to identify them yet Anyone here have an idea of what exactly they are?

Cut up the squash and bake it at 325F till tender, about an hour or so. I add a little water to the bottom of the roasting pan to help it stay moist. I also bake it skin side up. After it is cooked you can use it for lots of things. I make a lot of squash and wild rice soup.
The ones in your picture are on the small side. Hubbards can grow to be very big. People have told me they cut up big ones with an axe!
