I've got a good potted parsley plant that has just started to go to seed. Is there any way to delay this, such as cropping off the seeding stems? I'd like to keep the plant for a little longer if I can.

It might linger for a while but I've found that the quality of parsley isn't great in its second year. Parsley is biennial which means that it produces seeds in its second year and then dies
Get what you can out of it now and meanwhile get yourself a new plant/sow some new seeds.
ok I'll throw up my hands in surrender hehe But I have chopped its head off, will see how it goes. I have tried it before and as you say, the new batch is not usually very good, it turns out a bit woody.
We'll be moving house soon so was trying to keep the plant going for another month or two.
