| good book. i was skeptical because all the recipes and topics covered in that magazine always end with "the best way is the way my grandmother did it." for consistent, solid reference, this book is worth the price. i got one used for about $12. |

| I don't own it but it is a "greatest hits" of Cook's Illustrated magazine. Based on this fact I think it would be an excellent book. I actually ordered it for my mom's birthday just recently. I have been a Cook's Illustrated subscriber for four years plus I have bound editions of previous years. I also own The Cook's Bible and The Yellow Farmhouse Cookbook. All my other sources take a back seat their stuff. |
