Does anyone have a copy of the Oxford Companion to Food? I was thinking of picking up a copy of it, but is it worth the $$$?

Joe, It is worth the cash. It is a bit 'glossy' as far as depth goes; but what do you expect for a book that covers so much. I find it particularly handy when searching for a techinical definition or spelling. I have yet to turn to the book and not find what I was in search of.

Hi Joe, Thanks for all of your interesting comments on the boards! I just wanted to say that this is an excellent book, I would encourage you to pick up a copy. I would also encourage you to support ChefTalk.com by purchasing a copy of the book through are new online store. Many, many people are still not aware that ChefTalk now sells books online through our site @ www.cheftalkstore.com Prices are great, and you help support ChefTalk.com! ------------------ Best Regards, Nicko nicko@cheftalk.com
