| If you were to recommend your all time favorite dessert book what would it be? I would like to start learning how to make really great desserts and don't know where to start. |

| any of the dessert books at the cheftalk store, all are wonderful. All time favorite dessert book is the Professional Baker by Joe Amendola. It is an industry book with the basics upon which to build your repitoir. Best antique dessert book is Batina's Best Desserts. and Dendoovens Hotel and Restaurant book. Best modern everyday useful for the home and professional, The Good Housekeeping Baking Book. The Flashiest beauty, Charlie Trotters Desserts. Grand Finales and Neoclassic view of Plated Desserts. Best Cake, the Cake Bible. Can't choose just one. And I know I am missing many great ones. Ralphy, what's your fav? [This message has been edited by m brown (edited April 16, 2000).] |
