Post BONE IN THE THROAT

From the Department of Shameless Plugs:
My first novel, a satirical thriller set in--you guessed it--the restaurant business: Bone In The Throat and my second novel ( a kind of but not really sequel) Gone Bamboo are back in print and available in bookstores and on-line. I think BONE in particular might appeal to the lunatic fringe here. best, ANTHONY BOURDAIN

Great to see you again Anthony. When is your next book coming out? Typhoid Mary I think you said was the title?

This is my first visit to this board. I enjoyed reading the "Shameless Plug" posted by Mr. Bourdain. I am currently reading Bone, and I think it is a great read. I recently finished reading Kitchen Confidential, and I greatly enjoyed it.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the Cafe Sandy. If you have any questions then please feel free to email me or one of the Cafe modertors with a question.

Finished Kitchen Confidential, but haven't picked up a copy of Bone in the Throat yet. Looking forward to the movie Kitchen Confidential.

Are you serious? A movie Kitchen Confidential? When? Who will be in it?

Posted by Bourdain on 10/10, on another site:
"Kitchen Confidential has indeed been optioned by New Line for David Fincher and Art Linson. At what point in production (or pre-production) they are, I don't know. (I'm a tech consultant). The screenwriter was working undercover in my kitchen for a while though. I told my cooks he was an extern from French Culinary (to explain his complete lack of usefulness...Casting, I haven't a clue..though I think Robert Downey Jr. has the perfect resume."

Does anyone know if is there any plan for a pocket book edition of Kitchen Confidential?

Thanks

I finally broke down and bought Gone Bamboo. It is a great read. Trouble is, I'm afraid I'll finish it too soon!

That's it, I'm jealous. You all mention how funny his books are. I have to read it. I'm getting it as a Chrstmas present for myself.
