Question Have Any Female Chefs Read This Book?

I would like feedback from all female chefs who have read this book, called "A Woman's Place Is In The Kitchen" . It is on my wishlist at Amazon. I just sent a private message to one of my friends about the book. Has anyone ever read this book? If so, what are your insights and comments about it? I am really interested in the book, so all responses to this post are greatly appreciated!

Exclamation

I get paid on Saturday and I want to order this book then. I must say that I am a bit surprised that there have been no responses to this thread. I did get a review of this book by a Chef Talk member but that was by e-mail. So my conclusion is that almost no female member of Chef Talk has read this book. Am I correct? If I could get some responses to this topic, it would be greatly appreciated!

Cool Greek motto

Dear Afra

Sorry for the intrusion but this book must have been written in Greece!!!

Every Greek man believes that!!
I agree to stay in the kitchen if men are willing to sponsor my expensive tastes!!

Question

Are you sure about that, Athenaeus? And are you telling me this so that I won't buy the book? I thought it was supposed to be read by every woman that is considering the life of a chef!

Red face

LOL, ok silly, thanks for teasing me; I'll buy the book and post my reviews about it here. By the way, Athenaeus, I understand your humor because I have some myself; I used to tease a very close friend of mine with it all the time.

Tongue

By the way, silly, I e-mailed Ann Cooper the other day about your silly post and she told me her book has nothing to do with Greece. She said it's meant for every woman considering the life of a chef.

I just checked out Amazon's website and it says that they got my order for "A Woman's Place Is In The Kitchen" and that the book is due to be shipped on November 2 to November 9! hehe I can't wait to read it!

Cool

My book arrived in the mail yesterday. I have not yet finished reading "Becoming A Chef" as I want to savor the information the book is giving me and so I am taking my time reading it. I am naturally a fast reader but these two books, "Becoming A Chef" and "A Woman's Place Is In The Kitchen" will be read with care.
