| I just finished reading someone else's post about cookbooks and he mentioned Escoffier in his post, which reminds me that I have seen some of Escoffier's books on Amazon. Does anyone own any of his books? What do you like/dislike about them? Does anyone especially have this book? I think I might buy it in the near future. Please be assured that I am eagerly awaiting all responses and I would like to thank in advance all who respond! ![]()

| I have three Escoffier's- The Escoffier Cook Book-a guide to the fine art of cookery. Ma Cuisine, and a third one which is upstairs which I think is the first one jazzed up. Afra- these are very serious cookbooks from another era. There's a ton of good information in them, but I'd be very surprised to find much of this cuisine being cooked as it's laid out in the books anywhere. I'd start with one, see how you like it, see if there's anything in there for you. I would consider them one of the building blocks of a good culinary library though.

| Hey, I just stumbled across another of Escoffier's books, called "The Escoffier Cook Book: A Guide to the Fine Art of Cookery" . Does anyone own that book? I noticed that Escoffier has written a biography of himself as well. ![]()
