Question Any luck on eBay?

Just wondering if anybody has found any good deals/hard-to-find books on eBay. I have paged through a bit of the cookbook section, however, it is HUGE.

Jim,
I know I've posted this information before, but when looking for a special book, try
Bonnie Slotnic in NYC.

bonnieslotnickcookbooks.com

If she does'nt have it, she'll get it!

Bonnie Slotnick is a reliable, honest dealer, but first check for the book on Bookfinder at www.bookfinder.com (stay away from Alibris or Barnes & Noble listings, their main method of doing business is to offer books already listed online by independent booksellers, and add huge markups) or Addall at www.addall.com. Only after you have made at least a cursory attempt to find a book on your own should you begin contacting booksellers to request a book search, otherwise you will likely pay more for a book than you need to.

I would also suggest anyone looking for a special cookbook join the cookbook-l mailing list and ask the dealers on the list whether anyone has the book. To subscribe send a message to <majordomo@mich.com> and in the body of the message write <subscribe COOKBOOK-L>.

You can also buy books from ChefTalk.com from our new online book store at www.cheftalkstore.com

Not only is there a good starting selection, it is also a great way to help support ChefTalk and keep the site going.
