Thumbs up

I am reading it RIGHT now. I will be submitting the review to Nicko in a few days. From first glance, it is a wonderful book. A lot of colorful storytelling and food adventures.

Without doubt one of the best food books ever written, but be prepared to get depressed (at times) as Rosenblum describes the current state and increasingly accelerating decline of French gastronomy, much of which he seems to lay at the feet of the EC and their inane regulations.

After I finished the book, I immediately went out and found a copy of his earlier book "Olives", which is equally worthwhile.
