| I am exploring the possibilities of opening a coffee shop. I would like to start out small and have "homemade" goods to go with the coffees I will serve. As I have never done anything like this, other than at home, would like to know what I might need as far as baking equipment like ovens and really good mixers that are not too expensive. |

| You might want to consider getting some used equipment. They can be a good deal and in good condition. Check your local restaurant supply store and tell them what you will be doing. They'll have a good idea of the tools you'll need for the volume you'll be doing. Best of luck! BTW, I used to work in a coffee shop when I was a student, and the things that sold the best were date squares, muffins, and mini-bread puddings that were made in muffin tins. Sara |
