| now that i'm into sausage making season im reminded of one of the best garage sale investments i ever made...a good old fashioned tinned iron, hand cranked food grinder. its the bees knees! easy to work with, easy to clean, and makes great little discrete nuggets of food without tearing or liquifying. i love a good tool. any of you still use one of these? |

| I have my mom's but it's missing one part (can't remember which one). One of these days I'll dig it out and make a serious search for the part. She used it to make ground beef for fresh burgers; cranberry-orange relish; and once, gefilte fish (oy, vay). It was easy to clean and assemble.

| I value my old grinder too. Though i am debating if its worth bringing with me when i move next week. The gears a worn down and i dont use it more than every couple months. Also, i was asking myself wether my 14 inch cast iron pan is woth its weight to move.
