| Ok lets see if I can explain this good enough so I can get what I am looking for. I have a holiday get together coming up in 3 weeks and I just came up with a good brainstorm for a desert. What I am looking for is mold of sort that is square and doesn't have any flare at the top. I want something that is almost perfectly square (think present box) But I want it to be small finger food size. I saw some muffin pans that had square molds but they widened at the top which will not work for what I want to do. What I want to try doing is making cream brulee molds present style ![]()

| They're easy to fold out of aluminum foil. If you have to fold a bunch, then it's probably not worth this solution. http://members.aol.com/davidpetty/mom61.htm You can make the sides any height by changing your fold depth in steps 3-6. For Creme Brulee, this might be easier to do in parchment paper. Phil |

| Hmm not sure if that would work or not as I cook the brulee in water baths. I could switch to something besides brulee though, I guess I have some more thinking to do.

| They'll be water tight when made from foil, but the brulee mix might be too light so floating is a problem. All that fat and sugar woul probably float. Hadn't thought of floating.... Hot glue the base to the pan? At what temp does hot glue melt? Would the water bath keep it from melting? Phil |

| Hey the only thing I can do is try this out and see if it works. The water only will come up the boxes less then halfway up so they may not float. Im off to go fold foil ![]() If they happen to float I can always weigh them down with a chocolate base or something like that.

| bleh.. folding those things out of foil is a major pain in the behind. I gave up before finishing the first one lol. I'll have to do some more searching on the net for a mold.

| I've folded a bunch out of paper so I had lots of practice. Foil is tougher but not bad. I've used them for corn bread molds and such for chili bowls Phil |
