Default cleaning porcelain

My dear sweet husband let water boil all the way down in our Le Creuset saucepan. The porcelain looks pretty dark now, and soap and water isn't doing a thing. I found that they have special products for cleaning porcelain, but isn't there some sort of simple mixture we can whip up at home?

Have you tried Barkeeper's Friend? Some people like a paste of baking soda (mixed with salt??), as it's a mild abrasive as well.

Personally, if it doesn't affect the performance of the pan or the flavor of the products, I wouldn't worry too much.

Barkeeper's Friend is magic. I almost don't want to know what's in it.

it's been my experience over the years, that porcelain does darken some with time and use. Barkeepers friend does a fine job in maintaining porcelain.
