| My dear sweet husband let water boil all the way down in our Le Creuset saucepan. The porcelain looks pretty dark now, and soap and water isn't doing a thing. I found that they have special products for cleaning porcelain, but isn't there some sort of simple mixture we can whip up at home?

| Have you tried Barkeeper's Friend? Some people like a paste of baking soda (mixed with salt??), as it's a mild abrasive as well. Personally, if it doesn't affect the performance of the pan or the flavor of the products, I wouldn't worry too much.

| it's been my experience over the years, that porcelain does darken some with time and use. Barkeepers friend does a fine job in maintaining porcelain. |
