I've got another question for you... I've got an older U.S. Range double oven/six burner with a griddle. Seems that some folks have been scraping the griddle without a grease pan. I have no idea how to clean under the griddle...it doesn't seem to be removable, and there's no way to get anything under it. Any hints? Thanks so much, Pete

U.S. Range and Garland are brands of Edonis. You did not say whether you have a gas or electric model. You may be able to find the Manual for your model at the Edonis website at: http://www.enodisusa.com/nafemproduc...densed&epds=no Apparently there is no way to remove the griddle surface.

I do know that with Garland and Wolf, the griddle is removable. It is very heavy and you may need a pry-bar to lift it off, but basically it's just a hunk of cast iron that sits on a perimeter of angle-iron flange, nothing bolted, riveted, or welded. Of course, years of grease and crud are just as effective as welding the cast iron slab to the flanges though.... .
