| I'm happy with my Kenmore Microwave & Fridge but this Sunday the ice maker broke and started to leak. I called for service since we have a contract and they said service in our area isn't until the 16th, two weeks. Who runs their service department, CONED. This is crazy and it's a good thing i can shut the water off to the ice marker with out the water dispenser. |

| My Kenmore ice maker died this week! I feel your pain. An ice maker is essential in a house with three teenagers when it is about 105°F outside! I'll have to replace mine, but am not in the mood, so I go and buy 20lbs of ice at a time and dump it in the ice receptacle as needed. Ice makers generally do not last more than about 3 years in our household.

| I won't buy Kenmore specifically because of Sears repair and customer service. ![]() |

| When I first bought my house, I made the mistake of having Sears install the washer and dryer I bought. The installers did not remove the plug in the washer discharge line before putting the hose on. They threw out an essential part. AND I had to tell the guy not to hold the bare 220V wires for the dryer in his hand while he plugged it into the electrical outlet.....yikes!!!! I wouldn't let any Sears service or repair people even turn around in my driveway. Call a real appliance repair place and ask for an estimate, it will probably not be as expensive as you think to have it fixed correctly. |
