| I'd like to buy a set of cookware for my home. I managed to find 2 sets that are affordable for me right now, and have better sizes then the set I have at home. (T-fal which was a wedding gift years ago) I am not sure which one I should go for though. The first one is a Kitchenaid Gourmey Fundamentals 15 piece set. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?catg=535&item=344348&prDeTab=2#A And the second if a Member's Mark Hard Anodized 15 piece set. ttp://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=336260 I'm planning on buying a nice stainless steel saute pan as well. Mainly for my high heat/searing purposes. I'm not sure which one would be the best out of these two though. Also, would I still need to use plastic utensils in these? Or would metal be ok? My husband is horrible about using metal utensils in pots/pans he shouldn't. Which is why my teflon is so scratched on my current set LOL. |

| Do you think you'll use every piece in the set? Or will you find one or more of them gathering dust? Sometimes it makes more sense to shop open-stock. You may like one saute pan design from one company but dislike its saucepans. There are threads galore here on choosing cookware. Try a bit of a search and see what you come up with.

| I will probably use every piece in the set. I don't really have any pieces that I don't use in my tfal set right now. Even the little tiny sauce pans. The ones in these sets are bigger then the ones in my tfal set so those would be nicer. |

| I have always bought open stock, and shop for bargains. Amazon.com still has some very good deals on Commercial Calphelon, Bloomingdale's has their house brand (made by All Clad) that they put on sale frequently. Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and other discounters often have top brand cookware for next to nothing. |
