Post Cybernox & Sitram

Cybernox by Sitram has non-stick fry pans that won't peel off. Sitram also seems to have some good quality stuff other than fry pans. Anybody got any opinions on either the Cybernox or the other Sitram products?

My favorite pot is a Sitram! One review of the cybernox pan rated it very highly, but I have no personal knowledge about how well it works. I would be interested in the answer to your question, too. Having a non-stick pan that has an indestructible surface has considerable appeal.

Yawn

Well, I have a report on the Cybernox for everybody.

I bought a 11" Cybernox skillet. Well, it is definitely not as non-stick as the usual non-stick stuff. Stuff still sticks and burns on, but it deglazes readily. The inside finish is mirror bright and stays that way. Even using metal utensils doesn't scratch it. Easily cleans up with BarKeepers Friend. Since I chose the one with the all metal handle, I have shoved it in the oven several times. Works great that way. The bottom has a very heavy duty aluminum core, so heat dispersion and retention is very good. The aluminum core is covered with a magnetic stainless steel so it can be used with an induction cooker just like All-Clad.

All in all it is a great pan...but it is definitely not what you would expect from a non-stick pan.

Am I happy with it? Yes. I am glad I bought it, but it doesn't serve well as a true non-stick pan.
