Post stovetop smokers - you need to try it

I saw this first on Emeril's show and decided to gift one to both my father and brother-in-law since they're big "grillers". I purchased them from a local gourmet kitchen store for around $40. Finally my dad made some pork ribs when I was in town and they were out of this world. Having eaten plenty of ribs in Texas I can say that these were the most tender I've ever had. He now wants to smoke everything he can get his hands on. Fish, beef, veggies etc. I'm convinced that I have to purchase my own. Has anyone else tried this and do you have some interesting recipes?

Stove-top smoking is great but I spent only 50 cents on a used wok with a top and rack at an Episcopal Church rummage sale in St. Michaels, MD. Much better than $50.
I really depend on my super-duper exhaust fan but the old wok works great.
I find that brining fish does make it less watery but it does seem to make it too salty. I have learned to be very careful with salt.
I have not had great success with game and would like more info on procedures. Wild duck does not get as tender as I would like.
